History of Wireless Technology
Based on the different purposes and frequencies, the wireless technological innovation could be divided into different groups - Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11), Infrared (IrDA), ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4) and so on. But there are only three kinds of the mainstream wireless products - 2.4g wireless keyboard, OEM keyboard and Bluetooth. This can be connected with the host mouse directly. Generally speaking, you can apply 27M, 2.4G, Bluetooth technologies to communicate with the host device wirelessly. Despite the fact that the wireless mouse isn't widely applied, its development can be dated back for a long time. Back in 1984, Logitech invented the first one device. It applied the infrared rays as signal carrier. Although this product was failed due to different functional problems, Logitech's innovation of wireless technology has broadened the ways to later made products. In 1994, Logitech produced RF 27MHz Wireless mouse. Afterwards, the wireless mouse had evolved fast. 27MHz technology had developed into the mainstream of 2.4g wireless keyboard and OEM keyboard.
Features of Wireless Technology in Laptop and Desktop
As we all know that the notebook computer is much smaller, so its capability and efficiency vary with that of a desktop computer. And you would have to compromise the decent sound devices and comfort from 2.4g wireless keyboard and OEM mouse over the portability. Moreover, you are not allowed to add more devices onto your laptop computer. If you cannot update your laptop computer, you may purchase the devices made by the same manufacturer. In this way, there are only limited options of computer components. The laptop computer would cost you much more than the desktop computer. So in case you cannot afford a laptop, the desktop computer would be the alternative.
